In 2024 Chanukah begins at sundown on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024 and lasts until sundown on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
IT’S TIME FOR CHANUKAH…
Joyous Festival of Lights! No, Chanukah is not Jewish Christmas. Yes, it's during the winter. Yes, it has to do with lights and yes, some people give gifts. Yet Chanukah is different. It is a celebration of light, a celebration of miracles and a celebration of a very exciting period in Jewish history. We can choose from the many meanings as we please. A celebration of the preservation of Jewish identity? Yes. A festival of lights and miracles? Yup, it is indeed. Heroism? Of course! What about faith in the Eternal? Duh. Jewish independence? Of course!
So we hope that you will all find something on this site to your liking! Ranging from those of you who have already celebrated Chanukah extensively in all shapes and forms, those of you who want your children to not feel left out from a light and gift themed winter celebration, and also those of you who have not celebrated Chanukah yet because you have not found any meaningful messages that you liked.
