MATERIALS:
10 metal nuts (size 10, but this may vary depending on the thickness of the candle)
acrylic paint
brush
glue
1 wooden slat (approx. 20x4 cm)
PREPARATION PROCEDURE:
1. Glue 9 nuts evenly apart on the wooden slat. Place another nut on top of the middle one (this will be the place of the Shamash candle) and wait for it to dry.
2. Paint with Chanukkiah with acrylic paint, in either a solid color or patterned.
3. All you have to do is wait for the paint to dry and you can use it.
Use any chocolate you like, as long as it is good quality. You will need a small cupcake or muffin pan, preferably made of silicone - the amount you can make depends on the size of the pan. Finish with your chosen flavor combinations... just make sure everything is finely chopped.
300 g white, milk or dark chocolate (70%)
optional: edible gold or silver leaves, spray or glitter powder for decoration.
pistachios and honey
dried cranberries and clementine peel
freeze-dried raspberries and black pepper
flaky sea salt
roasted peanuts, sliced almonds
chili and lime zest
ginger and clementine zest
Fill a medium-sized saucepan a quarter full with water and place over medium heat.
Break the chocolate into a heatproof bowl and place it over the saucepan, making sure that the bowl does not touch the water. Stir continuously until the chocolate melts.
If using additional decorations, chop them finely.
Spoon the chocolate into a pouring jug and pour a layer about 3 mm thick into each muffin tin, and and sprinkle the decorations on top. Place the tray in the refrigerator for 4 hours to allow the chocolate to set.
Remove the tray and tap the bottom to release the coins. Decorate with edible gold or silver leaves, sprinkles, edible glitter, or simply leave them as they are. Wrapped in aluminum foil, the coins can even be used for trendelling.
